What if you could turn back time? Would you consider it a privilege only to be used in the most desperate of circumstances - or would you use that power to help yourself? These are the intriguing questions posed by Sky's new action thriller The Lazarus Project, as Archie (Vigil's Anjli Mohindra) recruits George (I May Destroy You's Paapa Essiedu) into a covert organisation run by Wes (The Other One star Caroline Quentin) that can 'reset' time in the event of an apocalypse.

But when the Lazarus Project won't undo a tragic event that directly affects George, he begins to question its moral code.

Here, Paapa, who turns 32 on 11 June, Anjli, 32, and Caroline, 61, tell us why the eight-part series is set to have viewers on the edge of their seats...

How would you describe The Lazarus Project?

PAAPA At its heart, it's a love story set in a world where there's a top-secret organisation that has the ability to turn back time in the face of extinction-level events atomic bombs being dropped, worldwide viruses, civil wars - and then tinker in order to stop those things happening.

What can you tell us about your characters?

PAAPA George is an ordinary guy with a genetic mutation that gives him the ability to be involved in the time tinkering process. He gets invited into this organisation, then something traumatic happens in his personal life.

The show follows his journey of what he's willing to do. What happens when you're put in that position and you can look after No.1, or you can look after everybody?
