Paul O’Grady on how his India special nearly cost him his life…
NEW FACTUAL
Paul O’Grady for the Love of Dogs: India
THURSDAY / ITV / 8.30PM
Paul O’Grady is that rare sort of person you could take anywhere.
Presenter and champion of animal welfare, the witty Liverpudlian is equally at home mucking in at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as he is rubbing shoulders with royalty and celebrities at a showbiz bash.
There’s nothing glamorous about his new spin-off series For the Love of Dogs: India, however.
The four-parter sees Paul travel to Delhi and get to grips, literally, with the remarkable work done for stray city dogs by volunteers and the Friendicoes rescue centre. Paul is quick to help with some of the most harrowing cases he’s ever seen.
