KILLING EVE
SUN / BBC1 / 9.15PM / EP 4 of 8 / & FROM MON 11 MAY / BBC iPLAYER / EP 5 of 8 / DRAMA
Jodie Comer is currently enjoying a career-high like no other. Having already received acclaim for her portrayals of ‘the other woman’ Kate Parks in hit drama Doctor Foster and tormented Ivy Moxam in chilling miniseries Thirteen, her BAFTA- and Emmy-winning turn as cold-blooded assassin Villanelle in cat-and-mouse thriller Killing Eve has made the Liverpool-born actor a transatlantic superstar.
When the fifth episode of season three lands on BBC iPlayer this Monday (the fourth episode airs on BBC1 this Sunday), Jodie’s character takes centre stage as Villanelle – real name Oksana Astankova – travels to Russia to reunite with her family, who, until recently, she’d believed were dead.
Villanelle feels a sense of belonging as she reconnects with mum Tatiana (Evgenia Dodina) and the rest of the Elton John obsessed clan. However, will she outstay her welcome?
TV Times called Jodie, 27, at her home in Liverpool, to chat about the special episode and find out whether Villanelle will actually ever kill Eve!
Hi, Jodie! First of all, how are you coping in lockdown?
