Ian Beale was never going to win any awards for neighbourly spirit, but now half of Walford is baying for his blood.

And for one person, actions speak louder than words, because as the duff-duffs sound at the end of Friday’s episode, Squeale is out cold on the floor of The Vic, having been viciously attacked.

When it comes to prime suspects, Max Branning is right up there. He still hasn’t had the money back that Ian stole from him, and the pair’s feud deepens when Ian spies him sharing an illicit kiss with Linda.

Max has earlier found Linda in the playground, clutching a bottle of booze, so he takes her back to Walford East, where they end up locking lips…
