The days of simply pitching a posh tent in a field and calling it glamping have long gone. Now glamping is all about bespoke accommodation offering a luxury outdoor experience. And there’s a surprise enthusiast for the craze – Johnny Vegas.
The actor and comedian wants to create Britain’s coolest camping site and C4’s new series Johnny Vegas: Carry On Glamping follows the Benidorm favourite and his assistant, Bev, as they go about setting up a boutique camping site in North Wales.
To do so, Johnny and Bev must source and renovate five vintage buses, and transform them into unique holiday homes on wheels.
But with no previous experience of running a business or of carrying out renovations on such an epic scale, they certainly have their work cut out. We chatted to Johnny, 50, to learn more...
