Check Out These Fantastic Photos as Olivia Colman Leads a New Cast for Series Three of the Netflix Drama.

One will be most amused by these marvellous snaps from the upcoming third series of Netflix’s lavish royal hit The Crown. The award-winning drama – which is rumoured to cost £50m per series to make – returns on 17 November and sees Broadchurch favourite Olivia Colman ascend the throne after replacing Claire Foy, who previously played the monarch.

‘We always thought it should be Olivia, right from the beginning,’ says casting director Nina Gold. ‘The thing everybody loves about Claire was that she transmits her humanity in a very simple, not doing-anything kind of a way: you just get it. We felt that was exactly the same with Olivia.’
