‘The Queen of latin’ Shirley Ballas will take over the role as Head Judge from Len Goodman
Strictly Come Dancing has announced that former Latin dance champion Shirley Ballas, 56, will take over from Len Goodman when the series returns in September.
Many predicted popular pro Anton du Beke or former Strictly champion Karen Hardy would take the hot seat, but Shirley came out on top after the audition process.
An already hugely respected coach, known as ‘The Queen of Latin’, as Head Judge, Wirral-born Shirley will also have the casting vote in eliminations.
