Come Rain, Come Shine
Teenage Magazine|February 2017

Come Rain, Come Shine

From a backup dancer to a struggling boyband member to an international icon, Jung Ji hoon (better known by his stage name rain or bi) has since built up a glorious portfolio of a career we deem the Rainism effect. 15 years later, the 34-year-old has inevitably outgrown the golden boy image from his heyday, yet one can safely say that rain still holds the reign as the pinnacle of the first hallyu wave.

Cruising by for the last stop of his the squall concert tour, rain drew a 4000-strong crowd of longtime devotees to the resorts world ballroom on 30 December. despite starting an hour late, all was forgiven when the singer apologised to the audience after making a swaggering curtain-drop entrance. well, with the two-hour long repertoire of abs-teasing antics, body rolls and fan service galore we were treated to, how could we doubt the sincerity of the man?
