A new steakhouse opens in a new hotel in Khalifa City.
There’s a new hotel in Abu Dhabi and it’s a huge one – the Marriott Hotel Al Forsan has a whopping 400 rooms and dominates the Khalifa City skyline. Inside it you’ll find The Grill, a steakhouse that also serves some mighty big steaks.
The Grill is one of several meat joints to open in the capital recently, and it joins a crowded scene, meaning it has a lot to live up to – if there’s one thing Abu Dhabi does well, it’s beef.
It’s a slick-looking venue with an open kitchen and plenty of wood panelling on the walls, wooden floors and dark chairs and tables. The space though could almost be an all-day dining restaurant and perhaps could do with a few more personal touches.

Tashas - A New Cafe Concept Opens in Al Bateen
What do you get if you mix South African cuisine with Arabic and Mediterranean dishes, influences and décor? Tashas, a new high-end café in Al Bateen. Originally launched 12 years ago by South African Natasha Sideris, the Abu Dhabi branch is the first in the capital and will likely ruffle a few feathers among the city’s café scene, because Tashas is a cut above most we’ve visited in the capital.
