Lyra’s epic quest continues this week, and despite the growing dangers brewing around her, she remains fearless and determined.

Her all-powerful compass, the mysterious golden alethiometer that provides truthful answers to questions, is warning her against the perilous roads ahead but also compels her to continue searching for the missing children. She wants to head offon her own, into the unknown, but Farder (James Cosmo) is adamant she should stay with the group, which includes Lee Scoresby (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and armoured polar bear Iorek.
