The mum-of-two admits losing her young husband inspired her to make her health a priority.
When Carrie Bickmore lost her beloved husband Greg Lange to brain cancer in 2010, no one would have blamed her if she took a break and stepped away from the limelight.
Instead, the inspiring TV host threw herself into her career, raising their son Oliver, now nine, and going on to have a daughter, Evie, now two, with new partner Chris Walker – as well as looking after her health.
Now, feeling and looking better than she has in years – and with the abs to prove it! – The Project star says it was in part Greg’s tragic death that propelled her to take up regular exercise.
“During tougher periods in my life, sometimes the only release I had was putting my headphones in and going for a walk or run,”explains Carrie, who took up running a year after Greg lost his long, tough battle with cancer.
