The significancy underlying the Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2020 Men’s show was twofold: first, the fashion “evolution” after Virgil Abloh, man of the moment considered as one of the driving forces behind streetwear, proclaimed the death of the trend; and second, the secret recipe of the artistic director of menswear at the Maison to keep raising the bar when it comes to presentations, with the most recent standard set by his highly touted Spring/ Summer 2020 show celebrated nostalgic boyhood bliss with flowers and kite-flying.
Themed “Heaven on Earth”, Louis Vuitton teamed up with PLAYLAB INC. to curate an extravagant stage design adorned with clouds and larger-than-life tools of trade sculptures such as scissors, thread-and-needle, pencil and paintbrush. As expected, there was no shortage of celebrities in attendance, including Diplo, Bella Hadid, Alexandre Arnault, Migos, J Balvin and Takashi Murakami, among others.
