A Millenial's Guide To Sending Nudes

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a nude is at least ten thousand more.

A Millenial's Guide To Sending Nudes

We have been locked up for close to a month now and the number of leaked nudes and sex tapes has grown exponentially. This, of course, shows that there are some lovers who should never be trusted but it also shows that because of technology more and more people are sending and receiving nudes. Singles and long-distance lovers around the globe are facing one long, collective dry spell. People are finding this as a popular way to give and receive a bit of excitement in quarantine.

It would be easy to tell you to not send nudes but with loved ones living apart and technology being our new norm the best we can do is show you how to send nudes responsibly.

If you are about to roll your eyes and ask ‘why would you send a nude in the first place,’ then allow me to put it in Zendaya’s words (when she plays Rue in Euphoria) ‘nudes are a currency of love.’

1 CONSENT IS IMPORTANT

Sexual-health and consent educator Samantha Bitty notes that consent, just as in normal sexual relations, is important even when sending nudes. Ask yourself whether YOU are choosing to send it and not being forced and is whoever on the receiving end ready and willing to receive it.

It is important to note that you don’t have to send nudes if you don’t want to. You may not be in the mood to get that risqué pic out there, or maybe sexting just doesn’t tickle your fancy or, maybe you are the type of person who says, ‘You want to see me naked? Then you better be here in person.’ Corny, sure, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Don’t send nudes unless you really want to. Also, if your partner doesn’t understand this, then is he really the one?
