MONTBLANC 1858 ICED SEA AUTOMATIC DATE

ABOUT MONTBLANC
Montblanc stands for first-class craftsmanship and superior design. After the maison opened new paths in the culture of writing in 1906, it also set high standards in other areas. What was once "only" a manufacturer of writing instruments, quickly made a name for itself as a watch specialist. One ingenious idea was to combine the company's writing expertise with the chronograph, i.e., the Time Writer. For the implementation, in 2007, parent company Richemont acquired the Minerva manufacture, whose elegant chronograph movements were held in high esteem by experts, for Montblanc Montres SA. Montblanc's aim is to create refined and lifelong companions, born from bold concepts and manufactured according to strict standards, thanks to the high levels of its artisans' expertise.
Both an iceberg and a diver appear in a 3D-relief engraving on the caseback of the new Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date dive watch. The six-screw attachment, together with the 42-mm solid case body and a screw-down crown ensures that the watch is water resistant to a depth of 300 meters. The impressive relief engraving is created with a technique rarely used on such a small surface. The metal is engraved with a laser until a 3Dstructured relief is created that conveys a realistic impression of depth.
