Sowing for later months

Start late annuals, bedding and biennials now, says Ruth

YOU will probably have sown most of this year’s summer annuals already, but it isn’t too late to sow direct some late-bloomers such as coreopsis, night-scented stocks (these will stay gorgeous right up the first frosts) and some cheerful limnanthes, or poached egg plant that will naturalise and spread.
