Celestie Engelbrecht gives her 5 top tips to gear up to this year’s Reebok CrossFit Open.
The 2018 CrossFit season has begun. Boxes around the world are gearing up for the start of this year’s Reebok CrossFit Open, which is the first step towards a possible place at the CrossFit Games. If you’re one of those athletes you’ll be competing against hundreds of thousands of athletes from across the globe in this online competition.
That means for five weeks starting from 22 February, CrossFit athletes will be taking on the weekly Open WODs released by HQ, to post their best times or PB lifts to earn sufficient points to move on to the Regionals. And thanks to a change in the structure of the CrossFit regions, more South Africans have an opportunity to advance to this stage of the competition. That means the pressure will be on. So, to help you through the next five weeks of madness, here are my five top tips:
