CHILDHOOD & EARLY LIFE
He studied in Nallampatti Elementary School and Board High School, Perundurai. During his school days he was guided by Ramraj Naidu, a Gandhian to do something for the nation. Besides this he always had a passion for curing people and doing something good for them. It was in 8th grade that Dr. Palaniswami decided that he wanted to go to a medical school. It was during that time when he came across Muthuswami who introduced him to a person who guided him towards the path of success while he was still finding ways to get a step closer to achieving his goals. It was Muthu Swami’s guidance that gave Dr. Palaniswami the much required push in his life.
He joined PSG Arts and Science College in Coimbatore and then completed his Post graduation from Stanley Medical College in Madras (Chennai) in 1961. While many of his friends left to United States for pursuing higher studies in ECFMG which was newly introduced back then, Dr. Palaniswami decided to stay back in India for his father’s sake who was not keeping well. Instead he decided to become a teacher in medical school in Coimbatore. At that time there was no exposure to practical things like Blood Sugar, ECG, X-Rays etc. It was only confined to textbooks. These text books were written either from UK or United States. Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami always wanted go to a college where exposures to these concepts were being done.
