As we age, we suffer from aches and pains and promptly hope and expect some medicines to do the job of pain relief.
Modern medicines offer solutions to mask pains instantly but they fail to address the underlying problems, much of which is not visible to the naked eye.
For this it would help to understand that our skeleton comprises several disconnected pieces of bones that are not bound by any wires or screws, barring a few ball and sockets. What holds them in place is a set of muscles, tendons and tissues, besides the skin that we all can see, as that is the visible coat that makes us look who we look like. Thus, when we feel some pain, it could be a stretched muscle or tendon or dislocated or fractured bone part. This essentially calls for physiotherapy like realignment of joints, exercises to work on the elasticity of the muscles that hold the skeletal parts together. It is a time consuming process.
Had we been very active in our movements in our youth or had taken up active sports, our muscles would be well toned and agile and so would not have easily let our joints get disturbed.
