In yoga we think about the manner in which we spend our time. There are activities like earning money that have to be carried out. But there are also other activities like philosophical thinking that are not carried out. We are involved more with acquiring money and the whole day we are running after it. We don't know what we will make out of that money. The other thing is pleasure. If we come to know about some good food in some place or a good movie, we run after it. These become the uppermost ideals. So we don't get time for the other activities.
These activities should be balanced. We don't keep on thinking only about our personal development all the time. We also do think about others. We think about the duties. We think about the money in reserve. We also do think about God and the highest in life. But when else/at what other time will we think about these things? We keep it aside, saying, Someday, I will sit and think'. But that day never comes. We have not built up that habit to see that the day is spent in a systematic way. Some activities take over and we are busy. It is the cricket series and we are busy making money and having some enjoyment.
