CATHERINE'S JOURNAL...from the studio

January is the perfect time to start planning. I think most of us love opening a fresh new diary and filling the blank pages with exciting ideas, goals and projects. It’s an excellent chance to organise your crochet for the coming twelve months, and in recent years, many of my own New Year’s resolutions have been crochet based.

WIP WONDERS

I think the most obvious crocheter’s resolution is to finish all those WIPs that have accumulated throughout the year. In fact, I’m willing to bet that several of us have already made this one of our goals! I personally love this aim because it gives me a chance to review the projects I’ve been working on and lets me rediscover the joy of pieces that have been put aside. Sometimes I find nearly finished WIPs at the bottom of my yarn box and it gives me such a buzz to put the final touches on them. Then, as if by magic, I have a new crochet cardigan to wear or an amigurumi gift.
