SITTING ROOM
When open, the doors of the display cabinet lay flat against the rosewood panels and their painted silk fabric lining becomes an artwork in itself.

When Sofia Nobis’ parents bought a 1970s-era apartment in Milan in need of renovation they knew they could turn to their daughter and her husband Stefano Penazzi for inspiration. Both architects, the duo founded Nobis Penazzi in 2019 and after being handed the reins to the project they created a flexible new floor plan that opened up vast swathes of space with an astounding decorative flair.
