More than just a space for storing and preparing food, a kitchen needs to fulfill multiple roles as the home’s social centre. It should feel welcoming yet stylish, luxurious and comforting. With an inherent understanding of the needs of South African homes, local kitchen designers and manufacturers are equipped to provide all this and more.

THE PERSONAL TOUCH

The ability to tailor a kitchen space to perfectly suit the needs of each individual client is what gives local kitchen designers the greatest satisfaction. As the design team at blu_line reveals, “We have always loved looking at each client’s space differently. We love to consider and pursue the ultimate interpretation of their space, ensuring it is both functional and statement-making.”

Kirsten Kotze of Easylife Kitchens agrees. “As a creative person, I love that I am fortunate enough to be able to combine my personal passion with my everyday career. I get to meet new and interesting people, learn from them and work with them to design and create a bespoke and beautiful space for them and their families.

“As a designer, these designs are a form of daily art. And delivering something that a client and their families love is extremely satisfying.”

Slavin’s Jennie Kuhn adds, “Designing kitchen spaces is a soul-satisfying reflection of the things our clients love and having the ability to make it come alive for them. The kitchen is a constantly evolving space, and one that is becoming more and more important in the family dynamic. So to be able to consolidate what is often an amalgamation of different opinions into one working space brings a certain amount of satisfaction.”
