Bearing many hallmarks of Nordic design, this four-room flat in Boon Lay designed by Ben Chan from Met Interior sports a distinct Scandinavian interior. Wooden tones and neutral colours are recurring features that can be found throughout this elegant and tranquil home, along with choice furnishings that are characterised by functionality and simplicity.
1 LIVING
Working with a Scandinavian design brief, the first thing Ben did in this home was to overlay the original floor tiles to a vinyl flooring, with the woodgrained look imbuing some warmth into the space. While built-in cabinetry works were kept to a minimum, the designer created a real brick feature wall behind the turquoise seating furniture pieces, imparting some visual interest into the room all without overpowering the overall minimalist look.
