The world of Surfaces and Panels is very vibrant per say with the availability of a plethora of materials and likely designs and installations. There are thousands of ways a designer can play with these materials in order to bring out the most innovative and different design products.
Walls are the ultimate canvas that can be thoughtfully played to bring out their best faces. So, what’s trending in Wall Panels?
GOING BACK TO WOOD
Wooden panels are considered the easiest way to adorn any wall. They were a hit among people in the 1970s but then they took a backseat. The rising concerns of environmental degradation, due to increased deforestation, brought us to sense. With the advent of technology, today, the look and feel of good old wood can be replicated in the most original ways without even slightly harming the environment.
It is a revolutionary time for Wood Based Panels such as Veneers, MDF and Laminates. Not only they are sturdier and resistant to environmental pressure but they match the beauty of wood in every aspect. Also, we are seeing an increase in the use of Reclaimed Panels wherein timber and decking rescued from old barns, factories and warehouses are used to create beautiful panels and furniture objects. Such wood is not only environment-friendly but also contains a very different aura of wear and tear that becomes the crucial part of the design.
3D PANELS
Panels are taking a new look with the interplay of light and trendy materials. In addition, various patterns are being designed by combining two or more materials to make a unique statement wall. For instance, multi-layer wooden panels and Fold Panels.
