Woman's Weekly Living Series|October 2020
It’s a good time to start choosing and ordering your bulbs for next year – and a spring garden wouldn’t be complete without pretty tulips!
TOP 10 tulips for spring

1 ‘ANGELIQUE’ AGM

Lovely and long-lasting, the broad, double flowers are pink and white – they look like raspberries stirred into ice cream. Partner with blue or white Anemone blanda. Flowers: April-May. H: 45cm.

2 ‘SORBET’ AGM

Interesting and unique; pure white petals are gently striped on the outside with a few carmine-red flames and tipped with green. Will look beautiful growing through tall forget-me-nots. Flowers: May. H: 60cm.

3 ‘SLAWA’

The weather-resistant, dramatically contrasting purple, orange and pink flowers can be matched with dark tulips, such as the dark maroon ‘Queen of Night’, for an eye-catching display. Flowers: May. H: 35cm.

4 ‘DREAMLAND’ AGM

Subtle yet colourful, the petals of this tulip are a rich, rosy pink with white at their base, the white seeping up into the pink. Is lovely grown with silver-leaved and blue-flowered brunneras. Flowers: May. H: 60cm.
