Jimmy Osmond, still remembered as the boyish ‘longhaired lover from Liverpool’ visits Crewe and Stockport next month with his hugely popular show, A Tribute To Andy Williams – Moon River & Me. JANICE WALKER talks to Jimmy to find out more.
BEING OF ‘a certain age’, I can’t deny being as nervous as a giddy schoolgirl when I called Jimmy to talk about his tour. After all, in my youth, the Osmonds were bigger than One Direction and Take That combined. I needn’t have worried; Jimmy Osmond is the epitome of affable, down-to-earth and delightful. He is a true gentleman who demonstrates a passion for his music, his business, his beloved family and life in general.
The Moon River and Me Tour brings the music of the legendary Andy Williams to Cheshire and promises fans, new and old, an evening of nostalgia mixed with humorous entertainment. Jimmy will perform many of the romantic songs that made Andy Williams so popular such as Music to Watch Girls By, Happy Heart, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Almost There, May Each Day, Days of Wine and Roses and of course the song that was to become his theme tune, Moon River.
