The iconic Saddle bag was seen on the arms of every ‘it’ girl –both real and fictional – in the early ’00s and now there’s a chance you can snag one too
The A/W 2018 Dior show adopted a late ’60s style –with crochet, embroidery and patchwork – all thoroughly filtered through Dior’s luxury lens. The patchworks, for instance, were pieced from reproductions of archival Dior prints. There were also school uniform jackets and kilts – some of the latter were reproduced in the sheer tulle that Maria Grazia Chiuri has now established as a signature style at the house of Dior. The charm of the collection was in its rich craftiness. Along with the double denim looks, rainbow hues, monogrammed accessories and tinted glasses, Chiuri also decided to bring back an iconic item from the archives: The Saddle bag.
