Baby Boo-boos

If there is one certainty with children, it is that some terrible thing will always happen. It is inevitable. Whether they fall out of a tree, stumble into the pool by accident or devour the snail bait in the garage, some horrible experience is awaiting every parent. As a result parents are sure to come upon a broken arm, a stubbed toe, a bruised forehead, scrapes or cuts, fevers, poisoning, or even worse. It does not help being in denial about it. Rather, do a bit of first aid research and be prepared. Prevention is better than cure.

The thing is when people think first aid, they normally think about a bloody business. They imagine a bunch of paramedics hovering over a body, struggling furiously to save a life or a limb. It might be true to a degree, but it is not always as brutal as it is made out to be. Bloody or not, the application of basic first aid could still save a life. And if that life could be the life of your child, wouldn’t you want to know a bit more?
