His fears revealed

Sex During Pregnancy

DOES MY BABY KNOW WE’RE HAVING SEX?

This is a very common fear, yet there is no need for concern. Movements and sounds from the outside world form part of your unborn baby’s everyday life in the womb. Your baby is cocooned in an amniotic sac that is filled with warm water, which protects your baby and also prevents your baby from seeing or feeling anything.

CAN MY SPERM HARM MY BABY?

There is a mucus plug in your partner’s cervix that stops anything from entering or exiting the uterus until the waters break. Your sperm after ejaculation cannot pass this plug and enter your baby’s world inside the womb.

MY BABY MOVED WHILE WE WERE HAVING SEX! IS IT IN DISTRESS?

If your baby does move while you’re having sex, this is because your baby is responding to the movements, rocking and the increase in your partner’s heart rate. The baby is not in distress. In fact, an orgasm experienced by your partner will increase her blood flow, which will increase the oxygen and nutrients delivered to your baby via the umbilical cord.
