The competition, the theme of which was ‘Power’, saw participation from 16 EISA countries. The submissions were judged at the association’s General Meeting in June 2019. Photographer Markku Pajunen from Finland won first place. He will win a cash price of Euros 1,500 and the EISA Photo Maestro 2019 trophy. The second and third place winners were Cletus Nelson Nwadike from Sweden and Izabela Urbana from Poland. Founded seven years ago, the EISA Photo Maestro is a contest instituted to support amateur and semi-professional photographers. The themes of the competition encourage photographers to think in a documentary way by creating/ submitting a body of work that are connected to each other.
