It’s only natural to come to a point in time where you feel like there is too much to do and nothing is going right, and you start wondering where you went wrong.
One moment you feel like you are underappreciated, and the next like you haven’t done enough by your own standards. Whether it’s at work or in your personal life, something just doesn’t feel right but you have no idea how to move on from that.
Although it may seem like it, you are definitely not alone in feeling like this. More women these days are ready to admit having such internal struggles, and this has led to what we have come to know as the self-love movement, in a way. There are more life coaches out there to help women figure out how to let go of such feelings that may put a handbrake on moving forward with life, while the media has also been playing a role in promoting acts of self-love and its importance.
Sitting down with women’s relationship coach and mental-wellness advocate Hannah Lo, a lot is revealed about how feelings can influence our mental as well as physical well-being, and why it’s important to work through them and learn to let go.
When You Need To Let Go
“All of us have stuff to let go of,” says Hannah, “Even small things like a conversation with a Grab driver.”
However, most of the time we ignore our feelings using our individual mechanisms to stay away from them, she says. We might be avoiding confrontation, or ignoring our own shortfalls by focusing on doing something else. Anything to avoid feeling what is there deep down inside.
