The striker doesn’t want to be here and even his biggest fans have turned on him
As a child, like many other football fans around the world, I used to dream of scoring the goal that would take my team to the title.
But I was never good enough to make that dream become reality. So the fact that Diafra Sakho seemingly picks and chooses when he crosses that white line to play in the famous claret and blue doesn’t sit with me very well.
Indeed, many fans have already lost their tether with the Senegalese front man; booing him onto the pitch when he replaced Javier Hernandez in our 1-0 win against Swansea.
Of course, he soon silenced those critics with a typically clever finish from the man who ‘scores when he wants’.
As an avid supporter Sakho until recently, I believe that when he does cross that white line and is in the right frame of mind, he is the best striker we have at this club.
He has everything in his locker; pace, power, and physicality. But the Hammers number 15 has a stinking attitude.
That attitude was highlighted during the summer transfer window, as the forward boarded a plane to France after setting up a medical, which amazingly he passed given his ‘crippling’ back problem, agreed contract terms all without his parent club having a Scooby Doo about it.
