Poker is considered a man’s game. In spite of that, you went on to become the undisputed queen of Indian poker. How did you start your journey?

Getting acceptance and support from your family as a professional poker player is equally difficult for a man as it is for a woman. Luckily, my mother, Bubble Sethi, is my pillar of strength. She always encouraged me to follow my dreams. With poker it was love at first sight. At a really young age my father sat me down and showed me a game of poker. I have fond memories of watching repeat telecasts of prestigious poker tournaments with his special personalised commentary. Many years later, my husband, Yudhishter Jaswal reintroduced me to the world of poker, and online poker. I am really grateful for all his support over these years.

Was it tough breaking in to the scene? Do men still underestimate you when playing against you?
