We thought we must catch up with the Brazilian Boss Eduardo and get an in-depth interview about what it’s like living the life as Brazil’s hope at the Olympia title.

What is your location now? What state are you living in?

I live in Florianópolis, an island located in south Brazil in Santa Catarina State.

Living in Brazil, it can be hard to afford a comfortable life. What was your childhood like and what sort of struggles and difficult times did you experience?

I had a very simple but very healthy childhood in every aspect. A childhood surrounded by many friends, pranks, broken arms and legs, ha!

I came from a simple family, but my parents spared no effort to provide me with a quality education through traveling, knowing nice places and trying new foods. I may not have had the latest toys, but with all the learning I had, I was able to conquer great things over time.

How did you overcome these difficult times?

I believe that intellect is our greatest wealth. Often the lack of condition forces you to become stronger in the face of circumstances. We are the result of the decisions we make through life.

You started out in sport as a football player and went on to become a great bodybuilder by the age of 20 years old. What is it that motivates you to keep improving and moving forward?

Ever since I was a kid, I was fond of muscles. Initially, I searched for a gym to help me improve my physical conditioning. Soon I could see the changes to my body, and it was these that motivated me to improve more. The daily challenge of weight training came before diet, and as soon as I learned of the importance of diet, I went deeper-and-deeper into a bodybuilder’s routine.
