Singing Sensation Padraig Set To Meet Idol After Video Goes Viral
THE power of social media has afforded one County Derry boy the opportunity to meet his idol.
A video of Castledawson boy, Padraig McErlean singing Nathan Carter’s popular hit ‘Wagon Wheel,’ which was posted online by his dad, Donard, managed to grab the attention of the country star less than 24 hours after it was posted onto Facebook.
Seven year-old Padraig, who has Down’s syndrome, has been a massive fan of Nathan’s ever since meeting him at a charity event organised by his dad at The Elk, Toomebridge back in 2012.
Most days, Padraig, a pupil of Kilronan Special School, Magherafelt, can be heard singing along to Nathan Carter’s songs.
