BLUE HILL—The Deer Isle-Stonington basketball teams headed to George Stevens Academy Thursday night for a full night of basketball with both varsity teams getting action on the court.
All four teams are looking forward to their chance to play in the tourney, with the Eagle boys specifically looking to repeat their Class C Title win.
It was a similar scene for both games: the Eagles took early leads by applying tough full-court pressure to the Mariners to prevent them from doing much with the ball, giving the Eagle girls a 22-point lead by the half, and a 29-point lead by the end of the 3rd quarter for the Eagle boys.
