BRAD PITT and Angelina Jolie had already been together for nine years when they finally tied the knot in August 2014, during a private ceremony with their six children at their be loved Château Miraval estate in France. “Considering how long they’d been a couple, you could say it was almost like a renewal of vows, rather than their actual first wedding vows,” says an insider. “Many husbands and wives tend to renew their vows when they feel their relationship starting to drift; it’s a way to right the ship, while reaffirming their love and commitment to each other. Ironically for Hollywood’s golden couple, the ceremony apparently marked not so much a new beginning in their union as the beginning of the end. Sources tell Star that for most of the time between their wedding and Angelina’s 2016 divorce filing, their relationship continued dissolving to the point where they were often at each other’s throats — with wild accusations leading to physical confrontation! “Their fans were stunned when Angie and her team publicly branded Brad a horrible and abusive father seemingly out of the blue last September,” says a source. “But they’d be absolutely knocked for a loop if they knew what was really going on with them behind closed doors long before that!”
