THE hair is going a bit at the back, but Glenn Murray is still a danger and very nearly damaged a bit further Bournemouth’s promotion bid.
Murray, 37, on his home Nottingham Forest debut, just could not get enough on Filip Krovinovic’s 79th-minute corner.
His glancing header beat goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, but Ben Pearson cleared off the line and Jonathan Woodgate’s bid for the Bournemouth manager’s job gained more momentum.
Woodgate has had a whirlwind start with the Cherries, appointed as first-team coach one minute and upgraded to manager within two days when Jason Tindall got the boot last week.
Now Woodgate has the unexpected chance of reviving his own career after his first spell in management ended with the sack at Middlesbrough last season.
This was hard work for Woody and his team as under-achieving Bournemouth try to cling to the Championship’s top six.
But he’s unbeaten in three now, including going to Premier League Burnley and knocking them out of the FA Cup.
Rotherham is the next challenge on Wednesday and Woodgate will be in charge for that one as the search for a new boss goes on.
