TRANSFER deadline day 2012 is a day that will live long in the memory of Jordan Bowery when he secured the move of his dreams – a move to then Premier League Aston Villa.
The striker made the jump after a breakthrough season with Chesterfield but, five years on, the 26-year-old has played in every division in the Football League.
Just 22 appearances at the Villans followed brief spells at Rotherham, Bradford City, Oxford United and Leyton Orient, but Bowery is now finding his feet again at League Two Crewe Alexandra, where he’s bagged five league goals so far this season.
The move to Villa may not have worked out as the forward had planned, but that hasn’t stopped the sharpshooter hoping he can still make it back to the upper echelons of the league pyramid.

He said: “The move to Villa was a big thing in my life. I was shocked at the time, I didn’t expect it.
“I had a good season with Chesterfield, even though we got relegated. It was a surprise, but going there was the best experience of my life.
