DARTFORD got off to a winning start but they needed two stoppage-time goals from super-sub Dan Roberts to take the points.
Roberts struck twice in the nick of time after Ade Azeez had earlier seen his opener cancelled out by St Albans’ Tom Bender.
Dartford started strongly and threatened as early as the third minute when Jordan Wynte’s cross fround Jake Robinson, who lost his marker and slid in but just failed to connect as the ball sped past him.
Leonard then had a shooting opportunity after coming in off the right-wing. His effort struck the boot of a defender and bounced into the arms of Michael Johnson.
Leonard again caused danger when his superb cross was met by Robinson’s head, barely five yards out, but the ball bounced away to safety.
