BRITISH toddlers get two-thirds of their calories from ready meals - with even American youngsters enjoying a healthier diet.
Previous research has linked ultra-processed regulars like biscuits, puff and stick-style crisps with weight gain and growth problems.
The latest study, published in the journal Obesity Reviews, found 61 per cent of the energy intake of British children aged two to five came from such foods. That compared with 58 per cent for US kids and 47 in Australia.
