THE Royal Navy will get new nuclear-powered submarines that could almost triple its attack-sub fleet under a defence pact with the US and Australia.
It is understood the UK's seven existing Astute Class vessels will be replaced, and defence bosses could push to increase the fleet to between eight and 20 to deal with growing security threats.
