Covid Oap Couple's Cruise ‘Nightmare'

A disabled pensioner and his wife fell seriously ill with Covid on a cruise ship after the death of another passenger.

Amputee John Sanford and partner Helen, both 66, have been laid up in bed at home in Airdrie with crippling symptoms of coronavirus since returning from what should have been a dream holiday on board MSC Virtuosa.

And the pair have demanded a full refund over their “scary” experience, saying they did not feel safe before it emerged there were several positive cases on board.
