Haiti President Killed At Home By Intruders Posing As US Agents

Wife injured in ‘barbaric act’

Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise was assassinated early yesterday in what was described as a “hateful, inhumane and barbaric act”.

Unidentified heavily armed gunmen stormed his house in the capital of Portau-Prince at 1 am.

It is claimed the gang got into Moise’s home after posing as agents from America’s powerful Drug Enforcement Administration.

His wife, First Lady Martine Moise, was injured by a bullet in the attack and taken to hospital.

Locals reported seeing men wearing black running through neighbourhoods and heard high-powered gunshots, an exploding grenade as well as drones flying overhead.

Sources said one of the men spoke English with an American accent.
