A SCOTS MP has blasted the UK’s “snail’s pace” in providing vital cannabis-based medicine to desperate families.
Ronnie Cowan claims post-Brexit changes have left families in crisis as supplies of Dutch medical cannabis will soon no longer be available to UK patients.
Suppliers in the Netherlands have been given a six-month deadline before the plug is pulled.
Cowan, SNP MP for Inverclyde, said supplies of Bedrocan will end in January.
He added: “Imagine the mindset of a parent knowing their child’s health is being bargained for on a six-month basis? The pressure must be unbearable.
