But manager Rooney (below) is getting every ounce of passion out of his players.
And they once again proved it in this spirited stalemate that provided more belief that an unlikely survival is still possible.
Rooney, whose side are currently seven points from safety, admitted: “It’s still bad off the pitch!
“It’s been very difficult for this club. It’s going through a tough moment but the players are making the fans believe, they are bringing the pride back that has been lost over the last couple of years with the way it has been left.
“They are playing with a lot of pride and passion.
