The UK started withdrawing staff from its embassy in Ukraine last month amid fears of an invasion. It is expected the Government will follow the United States' warning and urge the remaining Britons living in the country to leave.
Currently the Foreign Office advises against entering Crimea and all but essential travel to the rest of Ukraine as "the situation has potential to deteriorate quickly and with no warning".
