The UAE Health Ministry reported 236 new cases of coronavirus, 390 recoveries and a death due to COVID-19 related complications.
The ministry conducted 47,014 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours. The total number of cases registered in the UAE is 57,734.
The total number of recovered cases of coronavirus has reached 50,354 with 390 cases recovered on Wednesday after receiving treatment.
The currently infected cases of COVID-19 who are undergoing treatment are 7,038. We wish all full and speedy recovery.
The ministry said, “We regret to announce that one person who tested positive for COVID-19 died due to complications. This brings the total death toll to 342. Our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.”
UAE Minister of Health and Prevention Abdul Rahman Al Owais said, “In less than 24 hours since the launch of the registration website, 5,000 volunteers got registered and today we have more than 10,000 volunteers who are ready to be part of the COVID-19 vaccine trial.
“UAE works with international partners to confront the threat of COVID-19 pandemic and develop a safe and effective vaccine. We are progressing in the clinical trial, which covers thousands of volunteers of different nationalities.
