ISLAMABAD
The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Monday warned that the positivity ratio of COVID-19 had increased to 4.5 per cent across the country with a rapid increase in 15 major cities.
During a meeting, the NCOC – the nerve centre of the government’s unified efforts to stem COVID-19 spread – observed that Hyderabad had the highest positivity ration at 16.69 per cent, followed by Gilgit at 15.38 per cent, Multan at 15.97 per cent, Muzafarabad at 14.12 per cent, Mirpur at 11.11 per cent, Peshawar with 9.69 per cent, Queta with 8.03 per cent, Islamabad with 7.48 per cent, Karachi with 7.12 per cent, Lahore with 5.37 per cent and Rawalpindi with 4.63 per cent.
A day earlier, the NCOC had issued additional guidelines for marriage ceremonies to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
According to the new guidelines, participants of wedding ceremonies will have to sit at least six feet apart.
