Dublin 2-29
Wexford 0-19
WEXFORD manager Darragh Egan described his team as being so dead during their humbling Walsh Cup final defeat to Dublin.
The Dubs cruised to a 2-29 to 0-19 win at Croke Park with Fergal Whitely and Ronan Hayes finding the net during the first half, as the Models barely rose a gallop.
Egan was without star forwards Lee Chin and Rory O'Connor, while Kevin Foley, his namesake Oisin, and Conor Devitt all departed the fray through injury on Saturday evening.
I just think we were so flat, we were so dead, we were really stuck to the ground, the Tipperary native explains.
There wasn't a glove laid on Dublin and, if you do that, they will just run, run, run.
